My little girl is always having temper tantrums and I usually just place her in time out and if she is done screaming, crying, and throwing herself, I will remove her. If she does not, I go over and try talking to her. If that doesn't work, she sits a little longer until she is calmed down. I would have to say there was one time where she had a tantrums and it was funny but also broke your heart. It was a few months after she broke her arm.
She had her cast off and she actually fell back onto the arm she previously broke so we panicked. We rushed her back to the E.R and when the nurse went to check her she was screaming and crying. The nurse just wanted to listen to her heart beat and went to place the scope under her shirt to listen to her heart and she screamed in the middle of her tantrum "but I don't want to get naked." We were laughing so hard that she thought she would have to get naked for the nurse to look at her.
We couldn't help but just chuckle at her but then hold her close since she was very shook up over the episode. Yes there was another time where she was screaming so loud out of anger because she didn't get her way that someone asked her a question and she stopped dead in her tracks and answered it completely normal and went right back into her screaming fit. Children are so funny when they are having tantrums. Most of the time they usually forget what they are screaming about and just go back to playing and forget all about it. But no matter the age, the tantrums just get bigger and louder.
