bluprint & Half Acre Brewery partner to offer exclusive five-course beer dinner
WHAT: bluprint and Half Acre Brewery are teaming up to bring Chicagoans an exclusive five-course beer dinner designed for aficionados and serious drinkers alike. The menu has been expertly crafted by Chef Manager Sam Burman and is perfectly paired with five of Half Acre's brews, three of which have been specially brewed for the event.
First Course
Blue Prawn Salad, Aleppo chili, local greens, and marinated lemon
Paired with Half Acre Xtra Pale Ale
A mild, aromatic Pale Ale that leans towards a Blonde Ale.
A subtle, hop forward brew.
Second Course
Fried Ipswich Clam, Boston lettuce, sauce gribiche
Paired with Half Acre Lager
A bold, amber Lager that boasts a hearty hop nose and Munich Malt base.
Third Course
Country Pâté, bacon, pickled Illinois rhubarb, grilled toast
Paired with Daisy Cutter Pale Ale
A bold, west coast strong pale ale that highlights an aromatic hop character.
A hop lovers dream.
Fourth Course
Venison Sausage, braised red cabbage, pumpernickel puree
Paired with Half Acre Baume' Stout
A big chocolate rye stout. Balances nicely and oozes chocolate and
coffee notes with the rye creating a dry finish.
Dessert Course
Sticky toffee pudding with bourbon ice cream
Paired with Half Acre Baume' Vanilla
Similar to Baume' Stout, but aged with vanilla beans to add further
dimension and dessert qualities.
