Alas, I ended up buying a subscription last January. I ordered twelve issues, which was $59.00. I eagerly awaited my first issue so I could sit and read it all the way through.
I didn't have to wait long. I got my first issue-- the December/January issue a week or two later. I read it through, and I was really disappointed. I prided myself on not being a fan of a group that seemed completely nuts. However, I wanted to do a face palm when I saw an extensive article on UFOs. However, I decided to let it go. The next major problem was the spelling and grammar. I first encountered the problem in Jason Hawes' daughter's article. She's young, so I thought that maybe the editor just didn't edit her as to not give her a complex. A little unprofessional, but okay. However, I read the rest of the issue, and there were spelling and grammar mistakes all over the place. It was really disappointed. I chalked it up to being a bad issue.
The next issue came late, and I was a little frustrated. However, I calmed down and actually read it. I hate to say it, but it was no better. There was yet another UFO article (I found out it was part of a series.) There were also spelling and grammar problems throughout the whole thing again.
I figured that maybe... just MAYBE the third time was the charm, so I waited. And waited. And waited. I didn't get the next issue, so I contacted the subscription department. After a LONG wait to hear back from them, they informed me that they had been moving offices and hadn't put out an issue for April/May. They said I'd be getting the June/July issue soon, and they'd add another issue to my order for the inconvenience.
The June/July issue arrived late, as I figured. I didn't get it until the end of July. Guess what? Same issues.
I let it go, and decided that since I'd already gotten a fourth of my issues, I'd go ahead and accept the rest as opposed to dealing with the late-responding subscription department.
Well, I never received an issue after the June/July issue, and it is now December. I am pretty mad.
I wrote to the subscription department again last week, and have yet to get a response. I'm not too shocked, but I want my magazines (which very well may just get donated to the library, or a partial refund.)
My recommendation is that if you like credible information and well-written, grammatically correct, and spelling mistake-free, don't subscribe to this magazine. It is an indulgent book of bird cage liner.
As an added bonus, I also wouldn't order anything from The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) itself. I don't know if the two are closely interconnected, but their service isn't much better. I ordered a TAPS sticker for mine and my husband's car last year, and didn't get it until two months later. I ordered a replacement this year, back in July, and still have not received it.
I don't think I will ever get the sticker or a refund, because there's not even an order inquiry e-mail for TAPS. (Surprise, surprise.)
My conclusion? I love Ghost Hunters and The Atlantic Paranormal Society, but I will absolutely never order anything from them ever again. I'm not a fan of losing money or merchandise.

Wish I had seen this before I subscribed. I paid in August and haven't seen a single magazine. They have not responded to my last 4 emails.
Yes I just submitted a report to the BBB. Anyone else experiencing the same problem should file a complaint as well.

Did anyone else hear about TAPS having a $700 per ticket meet-and-greet that got cancelled and nobody got refunds?
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Well, not glad, but now I know it's more widespread than I thought. They are still sending me their crap magazines and I haven't seen a sent back. However, they reported to the BBB that they'd issued me a refund.
Oh and after me telling Scotty Roberts what I thought and him cussing me out in an e-mail, he tried to add me on Facebook a few weeks ago. WHO does that?!
I too have not received the TAPS Paramagazine, and it has been close to a year since I sent my $60 for a subscription renewal. Scott (the only person associated with the TAPS Paramagazine who gives a contact phone number) is a smooth talking crook, and in my conversation with him, I stated that I would like my money back, his reply was "yeah buddy, you and 8,000 other people. DO NOT order this magazine. It will not arrives and you will NOT get your money back.
Take those asses off the air. After more than 3 months the TAPS case manager finally got back to me named
Kristen Perkins. She's very rude and still is. I just had some question regarding the show being on SYFI which means Science Fiction. Is is fake why the infared cameras why shutting out the lights. Why the music like a movie. I call the show fake fake fake. No harm done everyone is a critic. Apparently as an educator that she claims to be, she is very rude and just for other people if you have a problem you can contact the film company responsible for putting them on the air at
http://www.pilgrimfilms.com I did and am awaiting a response regarding Kristen Perkins.
Paying market? Hardly. They've owed me money for several months...
Pointing out another writer's grammatical mistakes on a public forum is pretty unprofessional. A magazine should have a copydesk. Associated Content authors generally proofread their own content. However, I am glad to hear that TAPS Paramag is under new guidance. Hopefully the quality of the publication will improve. I heard from a former writer that TAPS Paramag is a paying market, and I would like to pitch to them again after demonstrated improvement.
Oh wow! Thank you! That will get me more page views and spread the word. If you'd like, I have a petition against them if you'd like to sign.
