Tara Wilson and Chris Noth Son's Birth is the Latest Addition to the Hollywood Baby Boom

Hollywood is in the midst of a baby boom. The latest baby to bless our earth is the son of Tara Wilson and Chris Noth who was born on January 18, 2008 in Los Angeles. The newborn named Orion Christopher Noth weighed in at a whopping 7 lbs. 10 oz.

Chris Noth is known for his role as Detective Mike Logan in Law & Order Criminal Intent. However, at the time of his son's birth, he was also working on a movie called Sex and the City: The Movie. In addition, Chris Noth co-owns a bar and lounge that is located in New York called the Cutting Room. This is where he met Tara Wilson who is Canadian born. She was working there at the time.

Together they starred in a movie called Frame of Mind and began living together in New York and California. They did not share the news of the pregnancy and concealed the announcement well and in November 2007, they confirmed and announced that they had co-starred in another production which resulted in the birth that took place last Friday. But Tara Wilson and Chris Noth's baby would have to share the limelight with two other high profile celebrity pregnancy/birth that has happened in Hollywood lately.

Back in the summer or 2007 the public was bombarded with rumors that Nicole Ritchie and Christina Aguilera were pregnant. Sources could not confirm the reports at first and the public made speculations and took polls on who was the actual expecting mother. Finally on July 3, 2007 Nicole Ritchie announced and confirmed her pregnancy while being interviewed with Diane Sawyer of ABC. Nicole and her boyfriend Joel Madden, the front man for Good Charlotte were excited to finally share the news with the public.

A few months later on September 9, Christina Aguilera slipped up and told some people at a pre party for the TV Music Awards that she was expecting. In an interview she stated that she believed the baby was conceived while in D.C. on tour and although they wanted a baby, she wasn't expecting to become pregnant that quickly after having stopped taking her birth control pills.

On January 11, the news was buzzing with the announcement that Nicole Ritchie had her baby but in addition...a few doors down, Christina Aguilera and husband Jordon Bratman welcomed their newborn into the world. Headlines indicate that both babies were born at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. However, announcements found all across the web dispute these facts that were posted by Entertainment News and state that Christina's baby was actually born on Saturday the 12^th. Either way, the race was close. Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden named their baby girl, Harlow Winter Kate Madden and Christina Aguilera and husband Jordon Bratman named their child Max Lizon Bratman.

In addition to these high profile celebrity pregnancies, there was just one more that takes the cake for grabbing the media attention and in addition, being able to take the attention away from the attention queen herself, who just happens to be her sister, and such news would stun the public more than her sister ever has.

Yes, I am talking about none other than the star of Zoey 101, 16 year old, Jamie Lynn Spears. A normally private individual, we all had faith in the fact that she was nothing like her sister and the public did not take to kindly to the announcement that she was pregnant with her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. But, we all know when it comes to the Spear's family, the buck don't stop here. There is always a side order of controversy.

Jamie Lynn let her parents know before Thanksgiving that she had found out she was pregnant. In reaction to the news, her mother sold the information to OK Magazine and allowed them to make a public announcement about her daughter. Jamie Lynn's father got upset with his X-wife for profiting off of his daughter's private business. But the father was not at all impressed or happy about the news and expressed his displeasure through the media by stating that "he feels like she ruined her life." Meanwhile, we have yet to hear Jamie Lynn and her boyfriend's feelings about the issues because she is a more private person than her sister. Who knows, she may surprise the public in the future. After all of her sisters antics, she just may prove to be the better, more mature of the two. Only time will tell. She is due sometime in spring so be looking out for more controversy on this pregnancy until then!
