When I rushed to my local Sephora I was greatly saddened with the packaging, which is really the selling point for her line. While it retained its childlike feel, it lost its "irrelevant glamour" and ability to reach adults. It looked more like a kit you would buy at Walgreens for a toddle. The detailed and glamorous touches she used on her jewelry were not used on the packaging.
As for the makeup itself, there is a large assortment of colors but none of them strike me as beautiful. Also every eye shadow but one is glittery or shimmery. For some that may be a good thing, but I prefer most of my eye shadows to be matte. The pigment payoff is good and the colors blend well. The eye shadows will crease unless you use a good eye primer first.
The blushes and face products use micronized powders also known as "HD" or High Definition." Again, I find the assortment of colors is wide but none of them are very pretty. The application is very good however.
With the lipsticks, I get very excited because there are two colors I absolutely love! Leatherette, which is described on the Sephora website as a "peachy nude" and Showroom, a "girly pink." I don't know what a "girly pink" is supposed to mean but to me I think of a doll pink or cotton candy pink when I apply Showroom lipstick.
Overall, I think the color selections and packaging are poor. The makeup itself is pretty good but what use is it if you don't like the colors? I think it was a novel idea but it just ended up being an overpriced makeup line.
