Tashia's Random Thought(s) of the Day

#1/ 2007

Thought:
*People who drive mini vans should have to pay double the fine if caught violating traffic laws. *

Reason:
Think about it. People buy mini vans for what main reason? They have kids OR they have to transport lots of people. And shouldn't people who drive mini vans be held to a higher standard of driving if they have purchased a automobile knowing full well it will harbor their son's soccer buddies or their daughters sleep over friends? I can't even begin to tell you how many mini van Mamas' and Papas' I have seen driving like complete assholes while multi-tasking in the mean time. Don't act like you haven't seen it before.... we all have!

Thought:
*Do people REALLY still fall for the "CONGRATULATIONS! You have been selected to win TWO FREE iPOD NANOS!"*

Reason:
Seriously... are there really still Internet virgins out there who will fall for this crap!? I'm sure everyone has heard the phrase "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is". I just have a hard time believing anyone falls for these ads at all. I mean, I hear the ad at least 2 times a day and I cannot possibly imagine there are people out there completely buying the B.S., I doubt someone is thinking to them-self "WOW I must be the luckiest person in the world! Every time I go to this particular website I win an iPod!". Who are the people clicking these ads, that's what I like to know. They need to be educated on the do's and dont's of Internet exploration.

Beleive it or not there are still Internet virgins out there. The older newcomers might be worldly, but young people may not have learned that basic lesson in thought number 2. My thought today was do spammers really think we will fall from their fraudlent emails from "ebay, Paypal, Bank of America, 'your order' and Nigerian bankers? I also wondered why people are still passing on chain letters that are probably started by criminal types that contain code hidden in images (web beacons)which can easily lead to the spread of computer virus'. Hope to see more random thoughts.
