Taste of Chicago 2007

The "Taste of Chicago" is the largest food festival in Illinois located in Downtown Chicago, starting June 29th - July 8th this is an Annual Event held every year and this will be the 27th year for the "Taste of Chicago". There are about 60 different Restaurants and Chefs from all over the world who come and set up a Booth and prepare their Fabulous dishes for about 3.5 Million peoples that come each year, to make their Famous dish at the "Taste of Chicago" you can expect to find Eli's Cheesecake Restaurants, Billy Goat Inn serving Cheeseburgers, and Goat, Robinson Ribs Restaurant, for the number one Ribs, this year there is Deleece Restaurants, with Chef "David Blackman" with his Sweet Potatoes Salad everyone loves, that's a hit this year, he also have seafood Salad, batter Grilled Wings made with his own Sauce. There is the Famous Giant Turkey Legs everyone's favorite, and also egg rolls. Another Restaurant is the Blu 47 "Taste of Africa" they have coconut rice, yams served with red sauce, located at 4665 S Martin Luther Drive. Also this year the Turtle Soup is back a dish from a south loop Restaurants with" Chef Binyon's". Ten days of food and fun, this is the largest Midwest's food Festival, covers a three block area of Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive, the direct address is 296 S Columbus Drive, Chicago, IL 60603. On the 3rd day of July Chicago Celebrates the Fourth of July Holiday with fireworks, this is done on Lake Michigan right next to the "Taste of Chicago" and Grant Park , where you can bring your grill and do your own barbecuing if you like, you can also bring your own food and drinks if you don't want to spend any money and just want to watch the fireworks you can still have fun, they also have lots for the kids as well. The tickets are around $7.00 dollars for 10 tickets for that you can get about little over half of Robinson Ribs for about 6 tickets, that's not to bad remember you're just tasting, and there's a lot to taste at the "Taste of Chicago", so you don't want to get to full at one stop, because you're going to want to try all the delicious food at every Booth.

Our former "President Bill Clinton" have attended the "Taste of Chicago" and a lot of others Celebrities have came to Chicago just for the big Event, this is the second largest Tourist attraction in Illinois. There is music from different Singers, on opening day there will be music by "Frankie Beverly and Maze", to find out who's going to be there each day of the event you can pick up an Itinerary from your Local Dominick's Food Store or Jewel Foods as well. Most people bring their families and friends, because this event runs into the" Fourth of July" holiday. There is a Big "Ferris Wheel" you can ride and watch the fireworks from the sky at the same time, "can you imagine riding that, and watching the fireworks" There are Hugh crowds, most people take the Train or ride the CTA Buses to get to the "Taste" it's not a good idea to drive downtown because it's located in the Loop at Monroe near Lake Shore Drive, most streets are closed, like Monroe, Columbus Dr, Randolph, all the surrounding streets, so if you do drive they have a Parking Lot across the street from the Event, it's kind of expensive parking Downtown Chicago. On July 9th the big Event is over, and then Streets and Sanitation comes to clean up the streets, and get rid of all the leftover food so that the streets can be ready for the next business day.
