In April, Chef Kent Rathburn of Abacus and Jasper's began the fundraiser with the Ultimate Dallas Cowboys Tailgate Party at the Glass Cactus at the Gaylord Texan resort. "We wanted to create yet another way to raise money and awareness of the hunger issue in North Texas," says Chef Rathbun in a news release via e-mail. "These dinners will directly benefit North Texas Food Bank and the Tarrant Area Food Bank and provide a great venue for area football fans and foodies to mingle with Dallas Cowboy stars as well as some of the region's top chefs."
North Texas Fall Dining Series 2010
The fundraising festivities continue with the Fall Dinner Series. These eleven events highlight top chefs in the Dallas metroplex. Tickets cost $125 per person. (With tax and gratuity, expect to pay approximately $160.) Make reservations directly through the desired restaurant.
