Taste of Regret

The bitterness of the acidic bile
Lingered upon my tongue
No more flavor of hatred and anger
Just this

My whole body shook
And each spasm was an earthquake in itself
No more dancing and soured joy
Just this

Once again, the spew launched from my lips
And all I could taste
Was not the sweet nectar of youth
Just this
