Price, Quantity, Size
The regular price for a box of six 1.3 oz. bars was $3.29. Each bar measures about 3 ½" long and 1 ½" wide, so they are a bit on the small side. They were on sale the day I bought them so I paid $1.99.
Nutrition Information
Each bar contains 150 calories, 40 of those calories are from fat. Total fat content is 4.5g. Sodium content is 130mg. Total carbohydrates are 26g. Protein content is 1g and cholesterol content is 0mg.

Taste Tests
Since the box stated, Tastes Great Warm, I definitely wanted to try one warmed in the microwave. The directions stated to warm for 3 seconds in the microwave. I have a fairly powerful microwave, but 3 seconds? Really? I read the directions again and sure enough they said to heat for 3 seconds and to cool briefly before handling.
After heating for 3 seconds, the bar wasn't even remotely warm, so I put it in for 10 seconds more. This warmed up the inside, but did nothing to the drizzled frosting on the outside. (The box stated it had melt-in-your-mouth frosting.) I took my first bite and decided it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't that great either. Keep in mind that my mouth was watering for a Cinnabon, so my expectations were quite high.
Since there were five more bars in the box, I decided I would try one or two more before making my final taste test decision.
The next time I ate one of the Cinnabon bars, I decided to eat it straight out of the package and not warm it up. I actually liked it better that way. Of course, my expectations were a lot lower after my first disappointing taste test.
I decided to try one final taste test. This time I heated up the bar in the toaster oven. I set the toaster oven to 300 degrees and heated the bar for 3 minutes. I actually liked it best heated this way. The bar was nice and warm and the frosting was even a little bit melted. However, I don't think I would want to drag my toaster oven out of the cabinet every time I have a taste for one little Cinnabon bar!
Final Decision
Overall, the bar is tasty, but definitely doesn't compare to a Cinnabon. I think the regular price of $3.29 is too high for six small bars and was glad I bought them on sale. I might buy them again, but only if they were on sale or I had a really good coupon for them.
Sorry Kellogg's, your Cinnabon bars just did not meet my expectations!

Post a CommentMore like a cinnamon nightmare. They taste like garbage. I was allured at Costco for the industrial size because cinnabon tastes awesome. These taste like a cinnabon dog treat. Will never buy again and would never recommend.
My mother met you at an AC meeting in Denver she said you were so sweet!
I keep imagining they taste like the cinnamon Pop tarts, which I don't like, which that crusty frosting. I'll pass on these- great review
Bummer! Would have been nice to have an easy Cinnabon substitute at the ready, but doesn't sound like this is it! Helpful evaluation.
Good review!
Nice review! Will steer clear of these unless a free box is dropped in my lap. :P
I guess if I get a hankering for a Cinnabon, I won't try this imposter. I've never heard of ANYTHING you could heat in the micro for three measly seconds!
Great and honest review. It's a good thing you got them a such a good sale price!
Great review, I guess I'll stick with the Cheerios.
Thanks - I've seen these and wondered how they were. 3 seconds? Must have been a typo!!
