Taste of Thai Restaurant in Norcross, Georgia

Thai food is one of my favorites, so when I have an opportunity to check out a new restaurant, I am there. It was recently that I heard about a Thai restaurant in Norcross, Georgia that had authentic Thai food. The name of the restaurant is "Taste of Thai" located off of Jimmy Carter and Brookhollow in Norcross, Georgia.

Taste of Thai is located in the same strip mall as SYMs, an outlet store that sells designer clothing, perfume and accessories. The outside of the location is basic but as soon as you walk in the door of Taste of Thai you see the transformation. To the left of the restaurant near the front door is a small stage covered with beautiful red carpet. On the stage there is a keyboard, guitar and karaoke equipment to include 3 or 4 mics. Those of you who know me, know that the combination of good food and music is a winning combination!

Once you step further inside of the resturant, the decor is Asian inspired with vibrant artwork of flowers and some of mirrors with metal. The tables are dressed with fresh flowers and crisp linens. After I took in the atmosphere, It was time to dive into the menu. The appetizers included some of my favorites such as chicken satay which is marinated stripes of chicken mixed with spices and coconut milk and then grilled. It was moist and full of flavor! The other was fresh spring rolls made with avocado, bean sprouts, fried egg, cucumber, cream cheese, wrapped in rice paper and topped with sweet sauce. It was fresh and delicious!

I will concede that the starters were great, but it was time for the main event. I always try the pad Thai at every new Thai restaurant I go to in order to get a good idea of the authenticity of the food. There is a certain taste that most authentic Thai dishes have that is unmistakable. Taste of Thai's pad Thai is called Pud Thai which is stir-fried thin rice noodles with a choice of meat, sweet radish, fried tofu, bean sprouts, green onions, eggs and grounded peanuts. I devoured the dish! It was fresh and full of spice and flavor. It was one of the best Pad Thai noodle dishes I have had in a long time.

Excellent and Authentic Thai food. Family friendly and convenient to shopping and theaters.
