Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A good breakfast can mean having a great day, and therefore, should not be overlooked. But what should someone do if they are trying to lose weight? Should they skip breakfast? No! There are a few diet friendly cereals outlined below that will help lose weight and keep away the unwanted pounds.

Fiber One

Many doctors recommend this cereal for people who are getting older and need to eat healthier. It really helps keep the pounds off. It contains about 60 calories per bowl of cereal. That is ideal for a cereal. Try this cereal because you will really enjoy it. It is not as flavorful as the commercials make it appear, but it is way better than you think.

Cheerios

Everyone knows cheerios, and most people have had cheerios. This is one of the best cereals out there for you. Try adding some fruit to this delicious cereal to have a real treat.

Cheerios Toasted Whole Grain Oats

This is the same classic Cheerios, but with whole grain oats. It is even better than the original if you are trying to shed those unwanted pounds or help keep unnecessary weight off. Like with the original, add some fruit such as bananas to make this a healthy cereal.

Kellogg's Low Fat Granola

This is one of the healthiest cereals that Kellogg's makes and one of their best tasting too. This contains tons of important vitamins and minerals too. This cereal contains about 230 calories per bowl of cereal. This is a very filling diet friend cereal.

Post's Raisin Bran

This cereal contains a large amount of fiber and is also extremely nutritious. Many people love this cereal for the delicious raisons. The natural sweetness of the raisins help decrease the amount of sugar that is added to the cereal. This is one of the best cereals in terms of taste and nutrition that is out there. Be sure to check this cereal out because it will become an instant favorite.

Trying to lose weight or keep weight off is not an easy process. It requires lots of motivation and tasty food. The problem is that the tasty food is usually not so good for you. The cereals in this article are extremely tasty and are diet friend cereals too.
