Liliana McKenzie
Arthritis is a condition characterized by swollen and painful joints. Arthritis pain can be severe enough to interfere with daily activities and medication is not always effective in relieving this pain.

Fish Oil

Fish oil is believed to reduce inflammation. This oil can be consumed by eating fish such as salmon, halibut, and cod regularly or by taking fish oil supplements daily.

Gin Soaked Raisins

A popular home remedy for arthritis involves soaking one pound of golden raisins in one pint of gin. After the raisins have soaked for five to seven days, the arthritis sufferer should eat exactly nine raisins each day to help relieve pain.

Cherries

All types of cherries are believed to reduce the amount of uric acid in the blood. Uric acid can crystallize in the body and cause joint damage and may contribute to arthritis pain.

Garlic

A Russian folk remedy for relieving garlic pain is to rub a freshly cut clove of garlic onto the affected areas. Garlic can also be taken as a supplement by mincing two cloves and drinking them in a glass of water.

Fiber

A diet high in fiber can help regulate the digestive system and eliminate uric acid buildup. Foods high in fiber include raw vegetables and whole grains which should be eaten daily as part of a healthy diet.
