Are you the thanksgiving host this year? If so, then you already know what it's like to feel the pressure to cook up something new, fun, and exciting each year! In fact, if you're anything like me, then you probably do your best to "outdo last year!" Of course, the meal is only half the story.

Tasteful and festive decorations can go a long way to contribute to the ambiance of the family gathering. This year's centerpiece is going to be a favorite amongst your family and friends. Make sure you have created enough to give away because everyone will want to take one home!

Here is the simple recipe for Tasty Thanksgiving Turkey Treats! (With the emphasis on the word "tasty.") If you have children, this may be a fun activity they would be more than happy to join in!

The great thing about this recipe is that it's quick, cost effective, but still a whole lot of fun for your guests! First, you will need a microwave, candy corn, caramel candies, Dove chocolate, striped chocolate cookies, cup cake liners and a microwavable plate.

Now, take a piece of Dove chocolate from its wrapper and place it on the microwavable plate. This will be used as the base of the turkey. Next, use a caramel square (unwrapped) to stick on top of the chocolate. This will make the turkey's body.

Using a piece of candy corn, make a beak by pressing it into the caramel, with the point facing out. Use another piece of caramel and place it on top of the other caramel for the turkey's head.

Take the little white points of the candy corn to make eyes for your turkey and press them into the caramel head. Get a striped chocolate cookie and stick to the back of the caramel pieces to make the tail feathers.

Finally, put your edible turkey in the microwave for no more than eight seconds to stick your creation together! Take out your turkey and serve it in a cup cake liner! Of course, you don't have to stop there. Once you've seen how unique these little, tasty treats are, you'll likely have many ideas of your own on how to make them even more fun for your guests.

Don't be afraid to experiment and customize a bit. Most importantly, have some fun, and be prepared for all the compliments you're sure to get!
