Tatas - The World's Cheapest Car and People's Reactions

P V Ariel
This refers to the launch of world's cheapest car (launched on 13th of January 2008), and its mixed responses from different media.

Yes, it is a great achievement for the Tatas (The manufactures -Tata Motors) as well as the middle class Indians, Of course the middle class consist a major number in any nation. A good attempt by the manufacturers, congrats to Tatas and his entire team. His claims are good., meeting all the needs of current safety norms and other emission criteria is a praiseworthy attempt. The pollution it emits is lesser than the two wheelers, that is really wonderful!! That is what we want when the world is heading towards an alarming situation 'The global warming'. He deserves appreciation for this venture of meeting the dreams of the middle class, especially the Indians by meeting all other necessary needs. As Mr. Shankar Aiyar (Managing editor, India Today) said in his write-up "Nano Success Mega failure" www.indiatoday.in Yes, it's a total failure on the part of the government in governance. To provide the basic needs (bijali (power) sadak (Road) and pani (water) they utterly failed." It seems people like Tatas' should take care that too for the citizens of India.

This achievement is no doubt a great one indeed. Only thing left out is we have to wait and watch about Tata's claims. Still some more things are very confusing. When all these cars come out on the road where will our pedestrians go? Where will it park? For parking too people have to use the foot paths or even road. These are some of the BIG questions we need to find answers!! Oh God, protect our pedestrians from this new threat. Government should take much interest in providing good roads and footpaths along with these new development in technology.

The latest report is yet another good news from Tatas. Tata's next venture (DNA News and analysis - www.dnaindia.com. , is to provide the people with purified water at the cheapest available rate. Yet another good thinking gesture indeed from Tatas. Other Industrialists like the Ambanis of India should take one or two leaves from Tatas book. Instead of using all their benefits for their own selfish interest (Note Mr. Muekesh's gift to her beloved wife on her recent birth day-A Jet Plane worth crores).

Good Wishes to Tata. Keep going. Tata. Bye Bye!!!
