To start, we must recommend a few delectable appetizers. Start your meal off with the scallops wrapped in bacon, yum. We also recommend the crab stuffed baby belles even more. In fact, we insist you order them: succulent little mushrooms topped with crab imperial make for an extraordinary taste sensation. Finally, for those who like something lighter to begin a good meal, you must order the graham cracker encrusted brie served with crackers and black currant jelly. Undoubtedly what they had in mind when the idea of appetizers first came into existence, this selection prepares your appetite for the meal to come without conquering it before the arrival of the entrée. Try Tavern's spinach salad next, a light salad topped with roasted red peppers, red onions and black olives tossed with a honey vinaigrette.
As for your entrée, we have a few necessary suggestions. The veal marsala topped with mushrooms and an excellent marsala wine sauce makes our list of recommended selections, as does the Florentine stuffed chicken, a scrumptious breast of chicken stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach. But two selections deserve our greatest commendations: for those who crave a heartier meal, the strip steak milano served with caramelized onions and gorgonzola cheese assures supreme satisfaction for even the most goliath of appetites. But it is the apple cinnamon pork chops that truly stole our hearts-the unanimous favorite of all our taste buddies-with each and every mouthwatering bite.
Dessert does not disappoint either. Rich selections like chocolate cake are available, as are lighter choices like the delicious pear tart. For those looking for something comfy but refined, make the restaurant at Tavern the destination on your next night out. It's the perfect solution to any restless palate searching for something satisfying.
