Tax Day Freebies

Tax day can be a wonderful relief or a horrible disappointment. For me it was both this year. I got a good refund on my federal taxes, and ended up owing over seven hundred dollars in taxes to the State of California. But, now that it's over, I plan on enjoying some of tax day freebies that are available. Many retailers are softening the blow of tax day by offering some free or discounted deals.

Here is a look at the most popular tax day freebies for 2010:

Boston Market: Boston Market has a tax week special - buy one meal get one free from August 15-18. Coupon needed.

Cinnabon : Cinnabon will be giving away free tax day mini cupcakes between six and 8 pm

IHOP: Kids can get free dinners for the tax month - from 4pm to 10pm for the entire month of April.

MaggieMoo's Ice Cream and Treater: On tax day, stores will give away single-scoop serving at stores in what it calls an "e-cone-omic ice cream stimulus package."

McDonald's: McDonald's is offering a buy one get one free chicken sandwich on tax day.

Starbucks: Bring in your own mug on tax day for a free cup of coffee.

T.G.I. Friday's will give tax day customers $5 Bonus Bites gift cards for food and beverage purchases of $15 to $25 and $10 cards for those who spend more than $25.

Taco Del Mar: "Taxes Suck. Tacos Don't." People can register at the Taco Del Mar website for an e-mailed coupon for a free tax day taco.

For more information on these tax day freebies, visit the retailer's websites. Starbucks here I come.
