Unlike Taylor Hicks' counterparts of his season, Under the Radar is a pleasant listening. His fans, a.k.a. his "Soul Patrol" follower, are likely going to be the first in line to purchase Taylor Hicks', Under the Radar. Is it worth the buy and the money? Can it compare to his accomplishments on American Idol? Taylor Hicks is known for his "soul", hence his "Soul Patrol" group. Taylor Hicks is a breath of fresh air on his new album, Under the Radar.

Taylor Hicks', Under the Radar, is a bit sporadic. However, Under the Radar does showcase Taylor Hicks vast vocal talent. It's soul! His voice is very easy, soothing, and smooth throughout the debut album, Under the Radar. Taylor Hicks has quite an amazing vocal range! On American Idol, Simon frequently told Taylor Hicks his voice is too "karaoke". Taylor Hicks has certainly put that discouraging feedback back in Simon's mouth with Under the Radar. It is obvious Taylor Hicks loves what he does and will continue doing what he was born to do; sing and satisfy the listeners while doing so!

Taylor Hicks has his debut CD, Under the Radar, open with The Deal. The Deal is a mellow, jazzy song regarding falling in a love which leads to a commitment. After numerous listens, I can sincerely say there is not a song on Taylor Hicks' CD which I am not a fan of! Perhaps it's the band, which is superb throughout. Perhaps it is the vocal talent that Taylor has become famous for! Perhaps it is the incredible lyrics. Whatever the reason, Taylor Hicks', Under the Radar, is truly a CD to remember.

Belonging with the other most famous, best soul ballads of all times is Taylor Hicks' song The Runaround. Listening to The Runaround is a joy! Taylor Hicks has a very radio friendly voice and he is a pop hit!

The production of Taylor Hicks', Under the Radar, is very well balanced. There is not a song on, Under the Radar, which is overproduced or too powerful for Taylor's excellent vocal talent. Taylor Hicks' is truly a force to be reckoned with, as proven with Under the Radar! Watch out Chris Daughtry and Kelly Pickler!
