Taylor Lautner's Gay Night Out

Chris A. Sosa
There was SNL (Taylor in drag). There was Oprah ("loyal lady"?). There were his abs. Then came the Rolling Stone cover. If that wasn't enough, GQ shortly followed. And we can dismiss the Taylor Swift romance as that never looked even mildly romantic. Let the lancing commence!

Taylor Lautner's sexuality has been a point of Twilight-related water-cooler discussion since he first heroically removed his shirt in New Moon to bandage Bella's apparently serious head wound. Then it seems he never found it again. Or maybe he's just contractually obligated to disrobe once per scene? But I digress.

As debate continues to rage among the millions of girls and boys intent on taking his surname, it seems his latest venture is a score for the boys. Recently, online publication LimeLife discovered our ambiguous friend's recent night on the town. Where might he have been celebrating? At a major gay socialite's highly rainbow-flavored party of course.

The event was hosted by none other than X-Men director Bryan Singer and found Lautner making his exit during the "wee hours." While no one would insinuate having gay friends makes one gay, Singer's parties are apparently known for their intentionally gay theming. He has been passingly referred to as the Madonna of lavish parties.

The Velvet Mafia (The Gay Mafia) have now affectionately nicknamed Taylor Lautner "The Great Gay Hope." And yes, I know. You read that correctly. There's a gay mafia. (I heard about this awhile back and responded with appropriate confusion.)

While we can mark this one as a win for the boys, this reporter is taking a more inclusive approach. Why can't he enjoy the company of both men and women? Then everyone's got an equal shot. But let's get serious. Did you see him dancing to Usher's "Yeah!"? I did.
