Taylor was a child model for the Shake and Bake product. She also appeared in films as a child. Tyler Momsen was in the movies "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Underdog" when she was seven years old, notes the Daily Mail.
Perhaps this is why Taylor Momsen always looks so angry. She favors a Goth style, with very dark eye makeup and blood red lips. Her fashions often cause outrage in the press. She is still young, but favors quite revealing styles. She wears a lot of black, which adds to the angst filled look she emotes.
The dark style she prefers doesn't get as much flak in male musicians. However, Taylor has a somewhat vulnerable look with her long blonde hair and waif thin figure. Add all the Goth attire and dark makeup to that and the overall look is a bit alarming.
And yet Taylor Momsen continues to be a busy young woman. She is the lead singer for the ban "The Pretty Reckless." Until very recently she was also acting on the television show "Gossip Girls." But now the show has either eliminated her role or put it on hold temporarily. That will probably be fine with Taylor; recently she seems much more interested in pursuits other than acting, notes the Los Angeles Times.
Taylor Momsen: Fond of Controversy?
Tyler also seems to enjoy getting the public agitated over her antics. She has flashed her breasts onstage. She has also displayed guns on a magazine cover and she smokes a lot, despite her under age 18 status.
Taylor Momsen & Taylor Swift: Different Styles
Taylor has her own unique style. She and the singer Taylor Swift seem to be opposites, though they are close in age and both musicians. But that is the beauty of the creative life; every person decides what kind of style they want and what type of creativity to pursue. Taylor Momsen is Goth and Taylor Swift favors an innocent country girl look.
And as creatives, both Taylor Momsen and Taylor Swift may be switching their styles up as the years go by. For now, they represent different kinds of young people in America. Momsen symbolizes the angst of urban youth and Swift symbolizes the down home air of country youngsters.
