Swift won the award for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Song for "You Belong to Me," bringing home two of the traditional orange blimp trophies. Swift was the only nominee to step away with two awards at the end of the night.
Swift had stiff competition for both awards. Other females nominated for Favorite Female Singer were Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Miley Cyrus. Swift beat out Black Eyed Peas for "I Gotta Feeling," Lady Gaga for "Paparazzi," and Miley Cyrus for "Party in the USA" for the Favorite Song.
One of Taylor's ex-boyfriends, Taylor Lautner, also picked up a coveted orange blimp trophy. Lautner won the award for Favorite Movie Actor. Another ex, Joe Jonas, was nominated for Favorite TV Actor, but the award went to Dylan Sprouse.
The highlight of the award's show came as Katy Perry and Jonah Hill announced the winner of Favorite Movie Actress, won by Miley Cyrus. During the announcement Katy Perry got hit with the famous green slime as she opened the box containing the name of the winner and was immediately covered with slime.
Justin Bieber and Rihanna were the musical guests on the show. The duo sang several melodies along with huge robots who entered the stage.
The host for the 2010 Kid's Choice Awards was Kevin James, stand-up comedian and actor. James opened the show with a rendition of "Get Down Tonight" by KC and the Sunshine Band with revised lyrics to fit the theme of the show, "slime!" Helping out with the antics was Adam Sandler, who sang along as he hung from the ceiling.

Post a CommentIs there anyone who DOESN'T like Taylor Swift? Ooops...I forgot - Kanye West! Please excuse me if I'm not around a lot - I'm having a series of bad disk flare ups in my back, and must sit at computer only to do whatever articles I can, so can't spend a lot of time doing comments.
She keeps raking them in; good for her!
Good reporting on this.
I think she's awesome.
With Love,
Cindy
Great report. These awards are fun and show everyday kids that they can achieve if they believe in themselves.
Michele- I don't fit her typical teen girl demographic but she's one of my favorites too :)
That girl just don't quit. I only wish her the best.
That girl is on a roll!
Nice, I hadn't heard. She's a favorite for most young girls (and older ones like me!) Cheers :)
