Taylor Swift Set to Wow Australian Fans in 2010 Fearless World Concert Tour

Susan Jane
There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is now one of the most marketable young ladies on planet Earth. Not only is she very attractive, but she has talent to burn and shows that she is a great role model for young fans. Yet many older music fans have warmed to her wholesome appeal.

A growing cache of awards:

At the recent 2009 American Music Awards, Taylor walked away with five (5) awards:

Artist of the year
Favorite Female Artist - Pop/Rock
Favorite Female Artist - Country
Favorite Album: Fearless
Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist

Earlier in 2009, at the annual Academy of Country Music Awards, Taylor claimed Album of the year for Fearless.

Taylor Swift's 2010 World Fearless Tour:

Taylor Swift kicked off her World Fearless Tour in Evansville, Indiana. Her show wowed the sell-out audience with a stunning theatrical presentation of graphics, sets and visual elements designed by Swift herself. It is reported there was a fairy-tale castle lit by more than a million lumens of light and some interesting video highlights. This is something for Australian fans to look forward to.

2010 Australian concert dates and venues for Taylor Swift:

Taylor performed in Australia in March 2009 at some small, intimate venues in a few cities. This time around she will be playing in Australia's major entertainment stadiums:

So far, Taylor's concert venues in Australia are scheduled for:

Brisbane Entertainment Centre - Thursday February 4
The Brisbane Entertainment Centre has a seating capacity of 13,500 and will be hosting a wide range of concerts in 2010 including Fleetwood Mac, The Motown Event, Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Keith Urban, Rob Thomas, Diana Krall, Kelly Clarkson, Whitney Houston and the Backstreet Boys.

Sydney - Acer Arena - Saturday February 6
Acer Arena (formerly the Sydney Superdome at Olympic Park) is the largest indoor live entertainment and sporting arena in Australia. It was one of the major venues for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Acer Arena hosted artistic gymnastics, trampoline, the basketball finals and wheelchair basketball. It is now acknowledged by experts as equal to the finest indoor arenas in the world. Its seating capacity is 21,000.

Newcastle Entertainment Centre - Monday February 8
Newcastle Entertainment Centre (north of Sydney) seats 7500 and solves the problem of its patrons having to travel by train and bus to Sydney for major events.

Melbourne - Rod Laver Arena - Wednesday February 10
Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, venue for the Australian Open Tennis Tournament, is expecting huge crowds for its 2010 concert season.

Adelaide Entertainment Centre - Friday February 12
Adelaide Entertainment Centre caters for 12,000 concert-goers and has recently undergone a major refurbishment.

Perth fans miss out on Taylor Swift event:

Reports from the "west" indicate that Perth fans are disappointed that Taylor isn't scheduled to perform in their city. Cost of air fares to the "east" are not cheap, so Perth die-hard fans will have an expensive trip if they want to see and hear their idol. Alternatively, popular demand could see the promoter re-think the schedule and factor in a Perth concert date.
