Taylor Swift: Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Awards !

Julia Bodeeb
Taylor Swift won four awards at the 2009 Country Music Awards held in Nashville, TN, including entertainer of the year! At age 19, Taylor Swift is already having lifetime achievements.

She is the youngest person to ever win entertainer of the year at the Country Music Awards. This is an achievement that is amazing at any age. At age 19 Taylor Swift deserves a big "brava" for her accomplishments.

After winning this award she said "I will never forget this moment because in this moment everything I have ever wanted has just happened to me" according to People.

Taylor Swift made strides for women in music as tonight was the first time in a decade a solo female act won the entertainer of the year award.

She has "sold more than 10 million albums in the three years since she released her debut" according to the Los Angeles Times. She was only age 16 when "Taylor Swift" was released. The album went triple platinum and her career has been on a swift upward trajectory ever since.

Taylor Swift also won album of the year for Fearless, an album with numerous songs about her love angst with Joe Jonas and about moving on in life with courage.

Taylor's website also discloses that the album Fearless contains a song called "Hey Stephen" about a boy in her life she has a crush on. Stephen must have had quite a shock when he heard the song.

Upon winning the album of the year award she said "Thank you for saying that you like my diary." Taylor's songs are personal, from the heart, and filled with emotion. She writes with both realism and emotion.

She also won female vocalist of the year and the award for a music video. She had a stunning sweep with an exciting night of winning all 4 awards she was nominated for.

Taylor Swift looked stunning at the CMA awards in a gold dress with a sparkly bodice. She showed strong emotions as she won her awards, both sobbing and beaming with joy. This night in Nashville is one Taylor Swift will always remember!

This night surely makes up for the dismay Taylor Swift must have experienced when Kanye West snatched her award out of her hand on stage at a recent award show. That was a horrible moment to watch. Tonight's award return the joy of receiving awards to Taylor and set new achievements for women in the world of country music. Brava Taylor !

this is where my cluelessness comes in..I've heard the day, but have no idea what she looks like or what she sings..Good review though! I did read it,,I don't really know why, as I detest country music..blech! :) I apologize to anyone I offended. To each their own, lots of people probably don't like classical or classic rock...or even a good showtune! :)

Good for her and take THAT Kanye West! (And NO that wasn't a racist remark. It was a remark on the man's rudeness.)

I am a country fan but as soon as she won her first award I changed the station never to look at it further. I could go on, but I won't.
