Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Split; Time for a Song?

Taylor Swift, 21, and Jake Gyllenhaal, 30, have split. Their relationship became public in November of 2010 and, according to People, it ended in December. Both celebrities had birthdays in December, however they did not celebrate their birthdays or the holidays with each other. The two were last seen together in public on December 9, 2010.

Is there a song in the works for Swift? The break-up is a surprise, but some thought the age difference between Swift and Gyllenhaal was too far apart anyway. Many believe Swift would be better suited with someone closer to her own age.

But the question is, will Gyllenhaal be fodder for one of her songs? Swift isn't shy about that as exemplified in her successful "Speak Now." "I've always been comfortable talking about details of my personal life in songs, but still never in interviews," said Swift. Of course, after barely a month with Gyllenhaal, there may not be much material.

So what's next for Swift? Now that Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have split, will Swift get into another quickie relationship? In the recent past, she has indicated that she's not interested in love.

"It's been sort of a recent tendency, and I think it's because, for me, every really direct example of love that I've had in front of me has ended in goodbye and ended in breakups and things like that," said Swift. "So I think I've developed this pattern of running away when it comes time to fall in love and stay in a relationship."
