Swift Partners Up with American Greetings to Launch a Line of Greeting Cards in Spring 2010

Charismatic country music superstar Taylor Swift has really made a huge impact on the American public this fall. After capturing the hearts of the American public with her optimism and overwhelmingly positive attitude, and impressing the nation with her double duty stint as host and performer on Saturday Night Live, Swift, 19, has added a new dimension to her ever growing empire: greeting cards.

The nineteen year old is fresh off winning the highest honor in country music, the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year, can now add a new line to her rapidly growing and incredibly impressive resume. By using her writing skills which have enchanted the public and made her album "Fearless" a fixture on the Billboard Top 200 CD sales chart for longer than any album this decade, crossover star Swift will have the ability to reach an even newer audience with her recently announced greeting card line.

Teaming up with greeting card giant, American Greetings, Swift is planning on creating a line of greeting cards, gift packaging, online greeting cards, online photo personalization products as well as stationery.

Taylor Swift, who writes all her own songs, and regularly communicates with her fans via personally written blog, Twitter and MySpace updates, is no stranger to the written word. "My idea of a great song is a song that says how I feel better than I could. I feel the same way about greeting cards," Taylor said in a statement announcing the partnership. "I've always been fascinated by feelings and how we express them to each other. Getting to write and design these cards is a wonderful experience."

Swift will be working with both the editorial and creative team to design, develop and execute her vision on the Taylor Swift Greeting Card Collection. A true businesswoman and creative mind, Swift plans on being very involved with all steps in the process in order to ensure that the entire line stays true to her personality and vision.

The Taylor Swift Greeting Card Collection is slated to hit American Greetings stores as well as online in spring of 2010.
