Taylor Swift is the Newest Face of CoverGirl Cosmetics

Grammy winning country singer, Taylor Swift will be the newest celebrity spokesperson for cosmetic brand, CoverGirl. It was announced by CoverGirl that Taylor Swift would be the spokesperson for the new, but still untitled luxury collection by CoverGirl. The line will debut in January 2011.

Past Celebrity CoverGirls

Taylor Swift will join many other celebrity CoverGirls including actress Drew Barrymore, comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and singers Rihanna and Queen Latifah. According to CoverGirl General Manger, Vince Hudson, "Taylor Swift is a beautiful inspiration with effortless chic style, making her the perfect person to represent a new luxurious collection of products debuting on CoverGirl next year. According to an Access Hollywood article, Taylor Swift is excited to become the newest CoverGirl and she states that she has admired previous CoverGirls since she was a young girl. Taylor Swift has recently shot the first set of advertisements for the new CoverGirl campaign, which will debut January 2011.

Taylor Swift was bornDecember 13, 1989. Her career began in 2006 with the breakout hit, "Tim McGraw". Taylor Swift was just sixteen at the time. Swift was raised for most of her life just outside Reading, Pennsylvania, but when she was thirteen-years-old her family made the decision to move to Nashville, Tennessee in order to pursue Taylor's career in country music. Taylor Swift is currently touring the country on the "Fearless" Tour, which is scheduled to last through June.
