Tayong Dalawa: JR Vs. Dave Garcia

A Tormented Love Story

Tayong Dalawa is a poignant love story between JR Garcia (Gerald Anderson) and Audrey (Kim Chiu). Audrey was first the lover of JR's twin brother Dave, before they fell in love. With so many turns of events, Audrey had to marry Dave in order to save JR's life.

Audrey remained tormented throughout her marriage to Dave, despite Dave's efforts to love and please her.

The fight between brothers reached its toll when JR was found with the almost dead body of Dave's grandmother, played by Helen Gamboa. Mamita eventually died in the hospital. The audience knows who the real killer is, who is actually Audrey's father, but because JR was the one found on the scene of the crime, Dave thought JR was the killer.

Dave testified in court with what he saw. And Audrey did, too. Although there was no eyewitness that JR did kill Mamita, his handling of the murder weapon was enough to get him sentenced with life imprisonment. Audrey's heart is further crushed.

The whole story is like any other Filipino telenovela-full of problems and heartaches, the main characters moving from rags to riches or from riches to rags, and a tormented love story. But what makes Tayong Dalawa set apart is the fact that it boasts of a powerhouse cast-Helen Gamboa, Gina Parreño, Agot Isidro, Cherry Pie Picache-all of whom dominate the scenes with their acting. These seasoned actors have been cast perfectly.

The newcomers and the top-billers of the show-Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu, and Jake Cuenca-could not be left behind either. They can hold themselves while in the presence of veteran actors. They have certainly improved on their acting skills.

Each episode is becoming more intense as the end of the series draws near. Who knows what will happen in the end? The show's producers promise only more exciting scenes in the coming days.
