This alters the color and flavor of the tea to give an entirely different experience to the drinker. Herbal teas are a completely separate product, since they do not use tea leaves at all, but different herbs and spices, fruit matter, flowers, and other organic components. What is used to make herbal tea depends completely on what type of herbal tea is being made.

The Tazo website is really rather incredible, with a number of different activities and ways to shop for their teas. If you want to buy a tea that has certain flavor characteristics, you can select from one of 14 categories (chai, organic, decaffeinated, bold, rich, soothing, invigorating, rejuvenating, refreshing, floral, spicy, lemon/citrus, berry, fruity). Alternatively, if you are in a general category, like black teas, and you mouse over a picture of one of their teas, the flavor menu will light up depending on which flavors can be found in the specific tea. For example, if you mouse over their Tazo Chai, the words chai, organic, rich, invigorating, rejuvenating, and spicy light up on the flavor menu.

In addition to being able to buy pre-bagged teas, Tazo also offers full leaf teas by the canister and bottled iced teas as well.
