News hit the media in Baton Rouge, Louisiana early Monday morning on May 3, 2010 that T-Bob Hebert, the son of former New Orleans Saints quarterback, Bobby Hebert had been arrested in Baton Rouge on a DWI charge over the weekend. Today, head coach Les Miles suspended Hebert indefinitely from the LSU football team.

The arrest was made early Sunday morning in between 2:30 am and 3:00 am. Hebert was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison according to several news reports. Hebert was arrested in a parking lot near a fraternity house where a party was held Friday night.

Coach Les Miles released the following statement to the public earlier today regarding the suspension, "This is a very serious charge. We have a high level of expectations for the players in our program, and this type of behavior is not acceptable. T-Bob made a poor decision, and it will not be tolerated. He understands the magnitude of this charge," Miles said. "He made a mistake. Now he's going to have to suffer the consequences and do those things that ensure that this type of incident doesn't happen again."

T. Bob Hebert has missed several of the last spring practice sessions for the Tigers due to a broken ankle. The ankle is expected to be healed when Hebert comes back next semester as a Junior.

Hebert was one of the top centers recruited for the 2007 season. Hebert attended high school at the Greater Atlanta Christian School. He started 11 games last year for the Tigers but did not play in the Capitol One Bowl game due to an injury.

Hebert's father, Bobby, played quarterback for both the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons. Bobby Hebert is currently working as a radio personality for WWL in New Orleans, LA

Let's hope this is a one-time mistake he can learn from and not the beginning of a sad pattern.
