That would be a shame, because you'd be missing one of the best steak dinners you can get in a diner environment! In fact, it's not just steaks they serve at T-Bone Tom's, but all kinds of beef dishes, with salad, vegetable sides, and white bread or dinner rolls. The loaded mashed potatoes were pretty good too.
T-Bone Tom's - The Menu
With plenty of choices from which to choose, any meat lover can find something on T-Bone Tom's menu they will enjoy. Chicken fried steak, chicken, beef, and ribeye, and of course, T-bones. Marinated, aged pieces of steak, well cut and delicious.
The prices are perhaps only slightly less than a fine dining restaurant, even though T-Bone Tom's is not what you'd consider fine dining. In fact, T-Bone Tom's environment is only a step above diner environment, but it's cozy and comfortable, a place where you can kick back and enjoy your meal.
T-Bone Tom's - Environment & Décor
Inside you will find plastic table cloths adorning wooden tables, and small wooden chairs in which to sit. The floor is simple laminate tile, the order counter simple and clean, and the catering menu is quite simple too. With outdoor dining on a side patio, though, you can often find live music and entertainment, especially on the weekends, and enjoy a few margaritas under the Texas sky.
T-Bone Tom's - Service
The service at T-Bone Tom's is great, with the wait staff and cooks all friendly, outgoing, and courteous. We never went without a drink or someone checking on us. The food was served hot and quick. The drinks and appetizers were served hot and quick, and we were treated well while we dined.
T-Bone Tom's - The Food
The steak I ordered at T-Bone Tom's, a ribeye steak, was one of the best steaks I'd had in a long time. With a little Worcestershire sauce on the side for dipping, the steak had an excellent flavor, was tender (and ribeyes often aren't!) and was cooked exactly the way I had ordered.
The sides were hot and good. The salad before the meal was a good size for a dinner salad, but was plain and simple lettuce, tomato and purple onion with croutons and dressing. We were served Texas Toast for the bread side, and very large glasses of sweetened tea.
T-Bone Tom's - Decent Place to Eat
If you're wanting something casual and relaxed with some great steak served diner-style, T-Bone Tom's is the place of choice. If you have a group of friends looking for a fun night out with some excellent eating and steaks, visit the patio on a weekend when there's a live band and enjoy a few drinks and some steaks outdoors. Whatever your choice, T-Bone Tom's is a great place for an easy but exceptional steak dinner.
