The media is mad about Tea Parties. Or is it just one Tea Party? Is it Grover Norquist's Party? Or is it Rush Limbaugh's Party? Perhaps the Mad Hatter or the March Hare can answer these burning questions. And is it High Tea with cucumber sandwiches and raised pinkies? Or is it just an ordinary "Joe the Plumber" sort of Tea with Twinkies and extra large mugs? The Tea Parties talk about Big Government and excessive spending, but seem to be trying for Big Turnouts and Big Spending for demonstrations in far flung places.
And the name they stole-excuse me, borrowed from pre-revolution colonial American times, Tea Party. They seem to think those colonials were against taxes. The primary reason for the Boston Tea Party was a protest over the lack of representation for the colonies in the English Parliament. How big is the table? Or will those of us with maybe different ideas about good governance and the economy have to endure the shouts of the Mad Hatter and the March Hare of "No room! No room!"
