First Grade Printable Math Lesson Worksheets

The Math Lesson is a great website that has a lot of printable math worksheets for your first grader to learn math. Most children don't like math or like doing math on worksheets. These math sheets do a very good job at hiding this and they use is for math practice. The link I found on the website gives 25 helpful links to math for a first grader. This is a great tool and lesson plan for a parent trying to further help their child, or a teacher trying to find worksheets that are fun and interactive.

Fun ways to make the math easy and interactive:

1. Encourage your child when they are doing the math

2. When your child does something right tell them what a good job they have done

3. If they've don't something wrong make sure that YOU don't get frustrated because they are so young and if you start yelling, or getting short-tempered with them they will be discouraged to try and learn more with you. They will associate learning with something negative.

4. Always keep a smile on your face

5. Make learning an everyday activity so that your child gets used to it. If you make if fun they will look forward to that time during the day

6. Always communicate with your child from an early age
