She is currently on administrative leave from her teaching position at Woodsdale Elementary School in Abington, Mass.
Additional information in the case states the statutory rape began Feb. 6, 2007, according to a statement by the victim, who is now 16 years old.

The teacher is attractive, and the kid, at 13, was in puberty and full of energy. Not surprised by the 300 number at all. Come to think of it, the kid is probably the most popular guy in school now.

I cannot for the life of me understand what physical attraction a 29 year old woman can find with a 13 year old boy. I guess that's the difference between my mind and the mind of a pedophile. There is no difference whether is male teacher/female student, male/male, female/female. The teacher is in a position of authority over the student. What saddens me the most is more than likely this has happened for decades and too many have suffered in silence. Kinda like the Catholic Church.

I know that things like what Carly refers to happen a lot I find what these adults do to these children is so horrible that we need extreme laws and punishment for them. That might deter someone and get the predator to enter into treatment instead of acting on his/her feelings and needs.
I think it is awful when adults in authority do stuff like this.. makes all people, teachers in this case, become sort of suspect...
I agree Carly, while it is important to have sites that let us know important information about sexual predators, it would be life changing to have your information on bad teacher and end up being innocent . . . once it's in print it's hard to "erase" it.
Interesting. Of course, there are many on badbadteacher.com who have cases pending and who are not yet proven guilty of a crime against a minor child. I would imagine they would be horrified to find their profile all over the net if they were innocent. The Internet has a long memory - especially cached items. I remember a case in the Erie, PA area where a teacher was accused, his wife left him, lost his job... and the girls lied. It is for this reason I encourage caution while looking at pending cases on badbadteacher.com. This case with Christine McCallum is disturbing though. 300 times in a year and a half? That's about every other day with this kid (if she did it).
