TEAM BISHOP WEEKS VS TEAM JUANITA BYNUM

WHAT ABOUT TEAM JESUS?

Karen Francis
I am sure by now everyone around the world has heard about the recent events surrounding Bishop Thomas Weeks, III and Prophetess Juanita Bynum Weeks and the decline of their marriage. I know that they are both Gods anointed and I am praying for their families and their ministry.

It's unfortunate that when men and women of God make great strides in the Kingdom of God that very few people hear about it, but when their character fails to meet our expectations that's when their fall is heard throughout the land. Has anyone heard about the call for a million prayers that Bishops Weeks initiated in August? Does anyone know about all the work Prophetess Bynum has done in the area of empowering woman throughout the world through "Weapons of Power" and "Women on the Front Lines"?

When men and women of God fall their gifts and anointing are still in tact. However, it's up to them to brush themselves off and get back in right standing with God. Not right standing with people. People will love you today and hate you tomorrow. God is the only one that is consistent. He's the same Yesterday, Today and Forever.

So many times Christians put men and women on a pedestal, but no one has a right to that position except for God Almighty Himself. He sits High and Looks low. Although I believe we should honor men and women of integrity and character, they should never take the place and space of God in our hearts.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever shall believe in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Lord is my light and my salvation. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

You see beloved, God is still God and He is still in charge. We can have our own emotions and opinions, but the truth of the matter is, it's not about what you think or feel, it's about what does the word of God have to say about it. The word of God is the final authority in not only some matters; but EVERY matter.

So, whose side are you leaning on in the matter of Weeks vs. Bynum? For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. The truth of the matter is, they are still one flesh, so there is only one side. It's been very sad to see material floating throughout the internet trying to discredit Weeks and Bynum and some of which is being created by the saints who are taking sides in this matter. Brothers and Sisters, there are no sides to choose when you are dealing with one flesh.

Now, both of these anointed vessels of God know what the word of God says concerning marriage. Therefore whatever decision they make, they have to answer to God, not man. It really doesn't matter what people think, because God will get the glory out of their lives together or apart. According to Romans 11:39: for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.

My appeal to true believers of God is continue to lift up the man and woman of God and their families, specifically the children in prayer that God would continue to protect, purge and bless them spiritually. God requires us to be Holy, for He is Holy. There is NO compromise in Christ.

Following are some great scriptures that I think all believers should read and let it not only get in your head, but get deep down into your spirit. I love you, but God loves you SO much more!

Matthew 7

Do Not Judge

1 "Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
6 "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

The Narrow Way

13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because[a] narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

You Will Know Them by Their Fruits

15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

I Never Knew You

21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Build on the Rock

24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 "But everyone who hears these sayings of mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Job 38

The LORD Reveals His Omnipotence to Job

1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:

2 "Who is this who darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?

3 Now prepare yourself like a man;
I will question you, and you shall answer Me.

4 " Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.

5 Who determined its measurements?
Surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?

6 To what were its foundations fastened?
Or who laid its cornerstone,

7 When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

8 "Or who shut in the sea with doors,
When it burst forth and issued from the womb;

9 When I made the clouds its garment,
And thick darkness its swaddling band;

10 When I fixed My limit for it,
And set bars and doors;

11 When I said,

'This far you may come, but no farther,
And here your proud waves must stop!'

12 "Have you commanded the morning since your days began,
And caused the dawn to know its place,

13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth,
And the wicked be shaken out of it?

14 It takes on form like clay under a seal,
And stands out like a garment.

15 From the wicked their light is withheld,
And the upraised arm is broken.

16 "Have you entered the springs of the sea?
Or have you walked in search of the depths?

17 Have the gates of death been revealed to you?
Or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?

18 Have you comprehended the breadth of the earth?
Tell Me, if you know all this.

19 " Where is the way to the dwelling of light?
And darkness, where is its place,

20 That you may take it to its territory,
That you may know the paths to its home?

21 Do you know it, because you were born then,
Or because the number of your days is great?

22 "Have you entered the treasury of snow,
Or have you seen the treasury of hail,

23 Which I have reserved for the time of trouble,
For the day of battle and war?

24 By what way is light diffused,
Or the east wind scattered over the earth?

25 "Who has divided a channel for the overflowing water,
Or a path for the thunderbolt,

26 To cause it to rain on a land where thereis no one,
A wilderness in which there is no man;

27 To satisfy the desolate waste,
And cause to spring forth the growth of tender grass?

28 Has the rain a father?
Or who has begotten the drops of dew?

29 From whose womb comes the ice?
And the frost of heaven, who gives it birth?

30 The waters harden like stone,
And the surface of the deep is frozen.

31 "Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades,
Or loose the belt of Orion?

32 Can you bring out Mazzaroth[a] in its season?
Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs?

33 Do you know the ordinances of the heavens?
Can you set their dominion over the earth?

34 "Can you lift up your voice to the clouds,
That an abundance of water may cover you?

35 Can you send out lightnings, that they may go,
And say to you, 'Here we are!'?

36 Who has put wisdom in the mind?[b]
Or who has given understanding to the heart?

37 Who can number the clouds by wisdom?
Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,

38 When the dust hardens in clumps,
And the clods cling together?

39 "Can you hunt the prey for the lion,
Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,

40 When they crouch in their dens,
Or lurk in their lairs to lie in wait?

41 Who provides food for the raven,
When its young ones cry to God,
And wander about for lack of food?

whatever happened is now over. each one has moved on. i am still a follower of juanita bynum and will remain a follower.
she did nothing wrong . she was the victim here. everyone is treating her like she was the one who did the beating to him.
what is this world comming to? some things just can't be fixed if it isn't meant to be. it takes two to want to save a marriage.
he continued to hurt her mentally. telling lies, and how she wanted him, and she wasn't nothing without him. she is something
without him because she has the lord on her side. god is her life.
so juanita keep moving in your destiny that the lord has planned for you!
    to god be the glory!!!

I feel that our Father God in heaven wants us to pray for the Reverends Bynum-Weeks and not judge them for it is written in the bible.

    Matthew 7: 1-2
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged." and "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
    also Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven."

I choose not to be in a judgemental mode with my comment. However domestic violence is a cancer to a marriage and should not be taken lightly. If it happens once, believe me it will happen again. If the attacker decides to get professional help, like anger management or counseling to learn to control his or her anger, then I say the marriage might be salvageable. Personally, I stepped out of a marriage to save my and our childs life. After putting up with the verbal, financial and physical abuse for many years, I asked my marriage partner if we could go to a marriage counselor in which the answer was no. So I had to gather all my courage and filed for a divorce. It was a hurtful experience and for a long while I felt like a failure. Now after years as a single divorced parent, I look back and see, I saved both myself and our child.
As for the subject at hand, I can only say that the real truth is between Bishop J. Bynum-Weeks and Bishop Weeks and God. I feel that our Father G

Juanita, I am not judging you, but sometimes we are so dominant as women. I know that you had a reputation of Bynum, but you should have taken on your husbands name and not worried about publicity. I believe in my heart that both of you are wonderful people, but sometimes we are so in a rush to do things because our flesh gets in the way, but that's ok. We all make mistakes. There is a purpose for everything. Sometimes we want to be head of everything. I believe that you are God sent, but I believe that he wanted you to spread the gospel and not you personal life. The word said in these days w e would be lovers of ourselves. Juanita just know that its about jesus not you. Therefore we have to do his will, not yours.

well, there is always three sides to the story, the side of the PROPHETESS AND BISHOP WEEKS,there is also the truth........but now the truth once known it shall set us free...We r human,we have our shirtcomings, the people in the bible had their shortcomings though they were mightily used by God.........why then do we cast stones instead of words of encouragement, the greater the anointing the
greater the challenges...........The prophetess has done a great job in my life and i look up to her...............
    LETS NOT FALSELY ACCUSE

    I LOVE U PROPHETESS BYNUM

I totally agree with everything that you are saying. God is dealing with the Bishop. Don't for once think that he won't reap whatever he sowed. It is difficult (but we must be prayerfu) when we witnress to others that God gives us what to say when these kind of hard questions come about from (non-beleivers). Yes they are you and me to accuse, that is there job to accuse us, to doubt us, to point the finger at us, to say boldly 'YOU AINT AND THEY REALLY AINT SAVED." So we must remain prayerful doing these hard and trying times.

We have free will we are not controlled by any body or thing. The Lord gave us a choice of life or death but he said to choose ye this day life.
They Lord does not stop in to correct our foolishness. They are over much and much will be required of the WEEKS family. They just don't have a true revelation just yet. God is able to yet restore this marriage if they both submit to Him again.

  • ann easley1/20/2008

I totally agree with you. Let this die down. The Weeks are both to blame. Not so much for their actions that caused Sis. Weeks to fiel for a divorce but for their actions after. The Lord used this to uncover many things and instead of allowing God to minister to their hearts they are walking away. They are breaking a covenant. Please, can any one lead me to a scripture that said it was alright to divorce because of both parties being too full of pride? What marriage in the Bible ended because of abuse? What will it take for families to stand up against the enemy of this world. I am not taking any ones side. I only pray that they both repent to each other and seek the forgivness of God and turn from their wicked ways. Thay stood before God and exchanged vows. Does that not stand for anything anymore. Christ was beaten and brused openly and yet we can't suffer a little for the sake of the Kingdom. People keep saying how strong Sis. Weeks is. Why was she not strong enough to save her hus

THANK YOU for FORGIVING him, that tolled me alot about you as a woman of god

  • Karen Francis11/26/2007

The Truth...you are telling the Truth...The word says be ye Holy for I am Holy....we can not compromise the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I've said before, we must DIE to ourselves so that Christ in us can be lifted up....The only way for this situation to turn around is that the people involved must DIE....literally lay their lives down once and for all for the Call that's on their lives. No more Hollywood aspirations...only Gospel aspirations...you can not serve money and God....for you will love the one and depise the other. It's about lost souls...NOTHING ELSE MATTERS! Remember, Pride COMES before the fall....Saints, continue to pray and intercede and God WILL get the Glory!
