Yoga has in recent times gained substantial significance as a form of exercise that brings about harmony to the mind, body and spirit. It involves various different body postures called as asanas and also breathing exercises called as pranayana.

The asanas when performed by an individual increase the suppleness and elasticity of the body besides strengthening the muscles of the body.
