Teaser Tuesday

Bridget Ilene Delaney
Today is Tuesday and that means it is time for Teaser Tuesday! On Teaser Tuesday, I'll give you a brain teaser. The instructions will always be given as well as the type of brain teaser as the type of brain teaser may change. The answer will appear on Thursday to give you time to play or time to think about the brain teaser.

Today's brain teaser is a yes/no/mu brain teaser. I'll give you a situation and you have to figure out what happened. In order to figure out what happened, you must ask yes or no questions to get to the solution. Ask your questions in the comment area and I'll be sure to post my answers in the comment area as well. This way people can browse the questions and the answers if they want to see what was already asked. I'll answer with a yes, a no, or a mu. Mu means that the answer to the question is irrelevant to the situation and won't help you solve the situation or simply that you didn't ask a yes or no question, so I can't give you an answer. I'll never say if you have the answer right or not because the answer will appear Thursday.

When we last left Ace, he had just brought some of his friends cantaloupes that looked like their heads. When he got to his last friend's house, she was terribly upset and Ace talked to her to find out why. She had just gotten a phone call from her best friend's daughter telling her that her best friend was dead.

The daughter was going over to the house and when her mother didn't answer, she used her spare key to get into the house. The daughter was now also at the house and when she heard Ace consoling their friend, she came over and asked him to take a look at that scene of what seemed to be a crime.

Ace went to the mother's house and there, they saw her lifeless body laying on the bed. Next to the bed was a puddle of liquid and a piece of wood.

From the different ways Ace could observe these things, he figured out that this was either a murder or a suicide, but it was definitely not just a natural death.

He told the daughter this and she was able to pursue different ideas once she knew exactly how her mother died.

How did the mother die?
