Technologically Inhuman

We Made Everything More Accessible & Faster, the Speed of Light Towards Automated Humanism

Technology has many great uses and has assisted greatly in the medical and communications industries. I assume that almost everyone over the age of 16 has a cell phone and access to a computer. As a fact, not to long ago I was in a local grammar school and they had laptops in the 4Th grade classroom. Pretty impressive, you would think.

Technology has it's place in this world, however, have you considered how reliant on technology that we have become. If we don't know something, you look it up on the Internet and believe whatever you read. Is that the way we should be? I feel that the Internet has a great many uses, like producing this article to share an opinion, but I also think that it has it's pit falls, such as; medical information. Ever hear the words that ignorance is bliss? It is more than likely best in most situations. The last thing a hypochondriac needs is a medical dictionary much less, access to medical web site like web M.D.

My point to this short excerpt is that we, as humans were given a gift at birth, called a brain & mind. How many people do you know that really use theirs?

I feel that today, we, as a whole, have become so reliant on technology that we don't take the time to be human anymore.

Here's some great idea's of old; Visit your grandparents in person, hand write a personal thank you to someone who helped you, stop and talk with your neighbor over the fence, vacation with your children, shut off the T.V. and talk with your family.

I hope that we are teaching our children the value of being human, thinking rightly about others without judgment and working toward treating each other with respect.

Just remember, every one dies in the end, how awful will it be that no one will be there to hold your hand and tell you that it is ok to leave, we love you and will miss you, but go in peace.
