Technology, I Can't Live Without You!

Brandy A.
These are a few things that I use on a weekly basis, and are my main source of entertainment. Sure, I can live without them, but why would I want to?

Zune
I have a 30GB Zune that I use on a regular basis, almost daily. This is my favorite gadget that I own. I have filled it with pictures of my family and friends, and most importantly, of my son. 30GBs can hold quite a bit of everything. With so many features, it took a while to fill it all up. I have converted movies and TV shows to watch while traveling. The podcasts that I have subscribed to, go directly to my device when I sync. It even holds my entire library of mp3s, which is the main use. It even plays games and has a radio setting. It's easy to access the features as well as my info and playlists.

Zune Software
Even if you didn't have a Zune, this software is excellent. It's all about the Zune Pass. Just for $15 a month, you can get all kinds of music downloads, movie downloads, podcasts, and even TV shows. And the organization and playback features are better than any music or podcast software I have used.

TV
I don't watch a lot of television, and I'm not up to date on the latest movies, but I prefer not to live without my TV. There are about four series that I currently watch. And that I've been watching for a few seasons now, and I'm hooked on them so much that I just have to know "what happens next?"

DVD Player
When I watch movies, I have a habit of watching the same movies over and over. Mostly because I know I already like these, I know what to expect, and I've fallen for the characters.

Cell Phone
I've lived without my Zune, my TV, my movies, but I have not gone very long without a phone. Although I don't talk much on the phone, and I don't text but every few days, and I don't have any special features or apps, I feel like I can't live without it. If something happens to me, or my son, I want to be able to call someone when I need them. My phone is always by my side.

iPad
I don't use this near as much as I use to. My 2 year old loves to take it from me almost every time so he can play his word games, or watch his BabyTV app. It's a quick and easy way for me to check my email. And with apps such as Facebook, eBay, and Craigslist, it makes it a quick and simple way to check my updates where ever there is WiFi. It's more portable than my laptop, and it's touch screen, which I enjoy. It has seven pages of apps, which is perfect entertainment for when I'm in the waiting room at an appointment or the break room at work.
