Ted Williams Becomes Overnight Sensation

What About Every Other Homeless Person?

Ted Williams became an overnight sensation after reporter Kevin Joy shot a video of the homeless man with the golden voice. While this man has received a much needed break, is it over the top? Offers have come in from all over the United States for this man to be the voice of their product or team.

But have they done their homework? He has accepted an offer from Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and seems ecstatic about that. What does Kraft know about this man? Do they know he has 9 children that he allegedly never supported in any fashion? Kraft, a company that wants to put a smile on children's faces everywhere, has hired an alleged dead beat dad to be their voice. I wonder if Kraft puts any potential employees through background checks. I hope they are ready to employ other homeless people that are in desperate need of a job and some money, with no background check or drug screening needed.

Quicken Loans has agreed to provide him with a house AND cover his mortgage. If he has a job now, he should be able to pay his own mortgage, give that offer to a family that needs it, please. Where was Quicken Loans when his children were living hand to mouth with their mothers? Why not give a home to them too? What about the homeless mother that I see every day at the traffic light that says she will work for food, can she get a home? Maybe they will give the veterans that are living on the streets a place to live, since they fought for our freedom.

I am very happy for Mr. Williams. However I feel that steps that are taken for every other person in America, especially those to acquire employment and mortgages, should not be overlooked for this man, or anyone.

Hopefully we will see a very successful man evolve before us. In a year, it will be very interesting to see where this man will be. Will he have made his new employers proud? Will he have paid all of the past due child support? Will he be clean and sober? Will he no longer be a criminal? I understand that being without a home, without food, and without money can cause people to make bad choices. So let us all see what decisions he makes now.

Cheers to you Ted, may you be happy, healthy, and wise. I hope your children receive everything they should from you, including an apology for your absence and lack of support. I hope fame treats you well, and I wish you nothing but the best.
