Teddy Geiger to Make Motion Picture Debut

Teen Singing Star Will Appear in the 2008 Release "The Rocker"

Teddy Geiger found a legion of fans with his debut CD "Underage Thinking" and its hit single, "For You I Will (Confidence)". He was also a star in the making on the short lived CBS series "Love Monkey", where he played Wayne, a young music virtuoso, a character who was not unlike Teddy.

It has just been announced that Teddy has been cast in "The Rocker", due out in 2008. He will appear alongside "The Office" actor Rainn Wilson (Dwight). It is currently being billed as a comedy centering around Pete Best, the drummer who quit The Beatles before they achieved fame, as he gets a second chance to rock and roll. At this time it has not been announced what role Teddy will be playing.

John Theodore Geiger II was born September 16, 1988 in Rochester, NY. He is the oldest of three children. He began playing piano at the age of six and guitar at age eight. By the time he was eight he was writing and arranging finished compositions on both piano and guitar.

Too young to perform in bars while in high school, Teddy built a huge following while performing in area teen venues. His fans called themselves "Tedheads". With some encouragement from his mom, he wound up as a finalist on VH-1's "In Search of the New Partridge Family." Even though he did not win, he did draw the attention of producer Billy Mann who has produced for such stars as Sting, Pink, and Jessica Simpson.

Mr. Mann has called Teddy "a waterfall of talent." He collaborated on the writing of several songs and acted as producer for "Underage Thinking'. Released on March 21, 2006, the album entered the Billboard Top 200 at Number 8 and won the award for "Best Album of the Year" at the annual MusiqTone MusiqAwards.

Teddy has become a teen singing sensation as well as actor, model, and award winner. In addition to his appearance on "Love Monkey", he has appeared on several MTV shows like "Miss Seventeen", "Punk'd", "Total Request Live", and "MTV Cribs". He was named as an AOL "Breaker" artist, and has appeared in advertisements for Levi's RedWire jeans, a jean made specifically for iPod. He was the first celebrity to appear in a Levi's ad in over four years. When he appeared on the November 2006 cover of "Seventeen" magazine, he was the first male to appear on the cover of that magazine in five years. On April 29, 2007 Teddy was named "Spankin' New Artist" at the Australian Music Awards.

It was announced this week that most of the June tour dates that Teddy was scheduled to play have been canceled because of his work on the upcoming film "The Rocker". The June 1 date in Red Bank, NJ, and the June 10 date in Buffalo, NY will still be played, and there are ongoing attempts to salvage the June 21, 22, and 23 dates in the South, otherwise, all June concert dates have been canceled. There are plans to reschedule these dates for July and August.

In addition to his work on the movie, Teddy continues to work on his new album titled "The March", which is due out this fall.
