Teeing Up for Golf Scholarships

Golf Scholarships in the African American Community Are Becoming Par for the Course

Tara Meehan
Anyone who doubts the increasing popularity of golf among African American youth should study the growing number of scholarships pertaining to the sport afforded by black colleges and universities nationwide. At least twenty such academic institutions, more than half being Division I NCAA schools, are offering golf scholarships to incoming undergrads.

The college application and selection process, in and of itself, can be stressful and harrowing. Add scholarship hunting to the mix and the pressure can make for an absolutely overwhelming situation. In an effort to ease your search, we have compiled the following list of colleges and universities offering high school seniors the chance to make tee times through golf scholarships.
