Teen Beauty Tips

The Keys to Lasting Youth!

The best things for a teen to do to maintain the natural beauty that comes with that age are simple, and easy, and they are free so mom and dad won't complain about spending too much money! The three best things for a teen to do are don't smoke, don't drink caffeinated drinks, and eat healthy.

Don't even start to think about picking up a bad habit like smoking. Not only is a cause for lung cancer, it causes the skin to loose the natural elasticity that you body produces. This is one of the biggest reasons not to do it. With the elasticity getting loosened you will form ugly lines around your mouth, pout lines around your forehead, and lines around your eyes. It may not seem like it is something to worry about while you're a teen ager, but let me tell you. I didn't listen and now at 26 years old I am starting to get these ugly lines popping up on my face. It's not pretty.

Another thing that can cause poor skin is caffeinated drinks. Go ahead and drink one a day if you feel like you can't go on without it. But be smart and limit your intake of it. Caffeine may be a quick pick me up, but it's not good for your body. Plus water, milk, and fruit juices pack added bonuses with them. Water is what your body needs the most and it will help regulate your weight, seeing as how it is naturally calorie free. Milk will help build strong bones, and there are studies going on to prove that milk helps maintain a healthy weight, bonus! Fruit juices, not fruit drinks, are great providers on the antioxidants that your body needs to help fight off cancer, and keep you healthy. All of these are much better choices to put into your body, the only body you will ever have, instead of caffeinated drinks.

Lastly, eat healthy. Eat what you want, when you want it, but be smart about it. Don't over eat anything. Low Fat foods are usually high in calories, so don't be fooled by the labels. Get smart now, and it will last through your entire life. If you learn to listen to your body you will know when you have had enough food. Eat to live, don't live to eat. We need food for energy, but if we eat too much then how do you feel? You will normally be bloated, unhappy, and groggy. If you eat smart, no matter what you eat you will feel happy, energized, and alert. Remember this the next time your at the grocery store with your mom, and your getting ready to ask her to pick up that bag of chips, go for the smaller bag and you will be just as happy!
