Choosing a higher deductible can also reduce the cost of the monthly premiums. Good students can also benefit from lower rates.

Most insurance companies offer lower rates for safer cars. Teens should be driving safe cars with air bags and all the latest safety features. However, teens can benefit from the best of both worlds by finding older vehicles with safety features as well. These are generally the cheapest cars to insure.
