Teen Guy's Prom for Under $100

Prom is mainly for girls. Guys will rarely attend unless they have a date. Guys are usually held responsible for paying for their outfit, corsage, and dinner. Luckily, guys can only expect to pay around $100 for the entire night. Their date never has to know exactly how much was spent.

~Outfit

If you're lucky, you already have a suit on hand. There's absolutely nothing wrong with re-using a suit as long as it fits properly. If you don't have a suit, rent one. Renting can save you hundreds of dollars. Most suit stores offer discounts around prom time.

Local men's stores also offer deep discounts on suits around prom time. You can typically get an entire suit for under $50 if you shop around.

~Corsage & Flowers

Don't wait until the last minute to place your order. Discounts at flower stores are available, but usually only if you place your order anywhere from a week to a month in advance. Choose something simple that matches the girl's dress. Ask you mom or a female friend to go with you to help choose a good arrangement at a decent price.

Many department and grocery stores sell corsages and flowers during prom season. These are much cheaper than flower stores and look just as good. With discounts, you can expect to pay $10 to $15 for flowers.

~Dinner

Obviously, you don't want to look like a cheap date. This is the one part of prom night that your date will know how much you paid for something. Choose a restaurant that isn't too fancy. For instance, opt for somewhere like Applebee's or a local steakhouse. You can get a nice dinner at much lower price.

If your date is insistent on going to a higher priced restaurant, look for coupons or gift cards online. Many restaurants are looking to increase business and are selling gift cards at half off. You can get a $50 gift card for only $25 dollars. Your date will think you've got a credit card and never know the difference.

Another option is to cook for your date. This is incredibly romantic and will impress your date. You can have your parents help if you need to.

Believe it or not, teen guys can look great and treat their date to a nice dinner for under $100 on prom night. Everyone can have a great time and save money.
