Teen Shopping in College Station, Texas

College Station, Texas is a pretty small town so shopping can be difficult for teens. There is only one mall so the selection of clothes is limited. However, there are some great stores for teenagers and young college students. This list features clothing stores for any budget so you can be in fashion without putting a huge dent in your bank account (or your parent's bank account).

Plato's Closet
Plato's Closet is a great, inexpensive store. They accept gently used designer clothing and resell it at a fraction of the original price. This store is great if you get bored with your clothes quickly. You can bring in your semi-new clothes, sell them, and then buy some new clothes with the cash you just made. The store features shoes, bags, and apparel and if located on Harvey Road in the Toys R Us shopping center.

Closet Door
The closet door is kind of expensive, but the clothes are gorgeous. I love to browse through this store, although I don't always have enough money to buy everything I like. Last summer I bought this gorgeous sundress by Free People (it cost me about $120). They have a great selection of clothes from well-known designers and the jean variety is phenomenal. Closet door is located off of Harvey Road in the same shopping center as the Tap.

Charli's
This store is great for prom. They have beautiful dresses, and they also have a service where you can buy a dress and tell them what event you are going to and they will make sure no one else buys the same dress for your event. So if you want to go to Homecoming in a certain gown, you don't have to worry about five girls showing up in the same dress. Charli's also has clothes and shoes and they are located on University Drive near Albertsons.

Charlotte Russe
This store is one of the new additions to College Station shopping so a lot of people are excited about it. Charlotte Russe carries a wide selection of inexpensive shoes, accessories, and clothing. I recently bought a purse from there and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. Charlotte Russe is located in Post Oak Mall near Pac Sun.

Aeropostale
I used to shop here in high school when my parents would put me on a budget, but I still wanted to look cute. They have really great deals on clothing and it's a great choice if you like to dress casual. Aeropostale is located in Post Oak Mall near Hot Topic and the Gap.

Steve & Barry's
Steve & Barry's now carries Sarah Jessica Parker's new collection, Bitten. This new fashion line was featured on Oprah and the styles were really cute and reasonably priced. I've always thought of Steve & Barry's as a good place to go if you need to buy a hoodie or something casual, but maybe you can find some neat fashionable clothing now that Bitten has arrived. Steve & Barry's is also located in Post Oak Mall near Bath and Body Works.

Charming Charlie
One of my friends introduced me to this store and I'm so glad she did. There are so many accessories in this store, so you're guaranteed to find the jewelry, purse, or accessory you need for any occasion. This store also has shoes and clothing if you need to go shopping, but it seems that accessories are what they specialize in. Charming Charlie's is located off of Texas Avenue in the shopping center of World Market, Panda Express, and Pier 1.
