Teenage Behavioral Wasteland

Heather Dekin

Caught in-between the lines of childhood and adulthood
Hanging outside the velvet rope of the most exclusive NYC nightclub
Locked inside a High School fishbowl being fed one too many fishsticks
Behavior under a microscope by fellow scientists in the cafeteria
Treated with ironfisted kid gloves at home by parental creators
Emotions ranging from a manic depressive Juliet Capulet
To a steroid junkie ready to punch a hole in a locker
Forget about dating someone from the opposite sex
Ready to claw them like a hungry tiger or paw 'em like a kitten
Focusing on graduating with honors and finding a prom date
Without being cyber bullied on Facebook
Teenagers are beyond cruel to their peers
Just like a wordy Hannibal Lecter who loved the internet
Watch what you say and do because those things can bite you back
Very hard.
