Teenage Girl is Starving Herself to Get Noticed by the Royals

Estibalis Chavez Isn't Giving Up

Abby Greenhill
A teenage girl from Mexico City is starving herself, on purpose. Why would Estibalis Chavez, 19, go on a starvation diet? Is she in love, does she want to drop a few pounds before summer, or is she doing it for a really stupid reason? The answer is she is doing it for a really stupid reason.

Chavez has not had any food in 9 days, which is long time to go without nutrition. She is staying in front of the British Embassy in Mexico City to gain attention. She wants to get one of the 1,900 wedding invitations for the royal wedding in April. It is nice to have a goal for yourself, but hers seems a little off center.

This teenage girl is starving herself and will not wind up not on the guest list, but possibly in a hospital if she keeps this up. While hanging around the British Embassy, she is painting pictures, pictures of William and Kate of course.

Estibalis Chavez says it has been her dream to attend the wedding because she loved Princess Di so much and wants to attend the wedding of one of Di's sons. Oh well, it looks like she may have to wait until Harry takes the plunge to try again. According to a British Embassy staff member, "Buckingham Palace regrets that there are no more spots available."

According to Mail Online, the 19-year-old isn't taking no for an answer. She is going to keep up her fast in front of the Embassy in hopes they will change their minds. Good luck with that!

Where is her family? Don't they realize that what she is doing is not healthy for her? There are times you need to stand up for what you believe in. But believing that you are going to get a wedding invitation for the upcoming royal wedding is over the top. Move on with your life and put your energy into attainable goals.

This teenage girl, Estibalis Chavez from Mexico City, is starving herself to secure a wedding invitation which won't be in the mail. She is starving herself for the attention. You've had your 15 minutes of fame; perhaps it is time to focus your energy on something more realistic, like finishing high school.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I hope some of her family members step in to assist her. It sounds like this young lady definitely has her heart set on going to that wedding.

I agree with J.C. If she keeps it up and no one intervenes, she won't be going anywhere in April except a nice grassy plot.

It's funny because one of the symptoms of not eating it POOR JUDGEMENT. seems as though she was starving before she started this?

The longest a 19 year old girl can go without eating is 6 weeks and thats only if she is SUPER healthy. i mean the ideal healthy. From her body type i would say she's not. There is no way she will make it another month. a few more weeks and she can lose limbs, her tongue, kidneys, she can in short destroy parts of her brain and of course die.

And the Girl doesnt even live in Britan OR America! I would be one thing if she loved princess di and was american or lived in britan but shes not. Oh and shes 19 there is no way she remember princess Di at all. Shes just straight crazy
