Television Plots: Are They Based on True Events?

You see it on your television screen but can that really happen? You are watch your favorite television show or a new movie and you know that the movie itself isn't real but you are left wondering if things like that could really happen. On television we see the FBI logging in and pulling traffic cam feeds at a moments notice. This could be helpful when looking for a criminal but is it really as easy as it appears on television? Don't they need a warrant for that kind of thing?

Movies and television shows are among the most popular to make people question whether things are real or if the could really happen. And why wouldn't they? It is natural for people to wonder if the government is doing or is capable of doing some of the most sneaky, dangerous, or self serving things that are seen on television and in movies. Chances are is a screen writer has thought of it so has the government. However, that does not mean they are doing it.

For years we have watched they television shows and movies talking about Area 51, yet we have no proof what goes on there. We do know that it is a highly classified and guarded area but there has been no proof to what goes on out there in the desert other than what former employees have said. Who knows if they are telling the truth. After leaving the job, they need a paycheck and who knows what they would make up to get one. Feeding into the alien craze would be the perfect way to bring home the bacon.

We have watched movies about the San Andreas Fault Line. In most of the movies and television shows California basically falls into the ocean and is no more. Will that really happen? Scientist and people can speculate but the outcome doesn't seem to be as devastating as Hollywood would like everyone to think.

Other times we see our government, specifically the CIA, send out hitmen or assassins to murder people. Their targets are anyone that the government sees as a threat to the United States. Is it true? Does the United States government have an agency that they use to "clean up" the people they view to be threats? Then what happens if their information is wrong and the wrong person is murdered?

One thing is for sure. The television shows and movies on TV today can lead to a vivid imagination and make one wonder if we really know anything at all or if what we know is all a product of the information the government has been feeding us. And that the truth has been in the television shows that we have been watching that is supposed to be make believe.
