Jensen Ackles
Jensen Ross Ackles the actor who plays, "Dean Winchester" on the television series, "Supernatural" was born on March 1, 1978 in Dallas, Texas to Roger Alan Ackles and Donna Joan Shaffer. Ackles's father is in the acting business as well. Ackles has two siblings, a brother Joshua and sister, Mackenzie. As a young child, Ackles did modeling work and appeared in commercials for Radio Shack, Wal-Mart and Nabisco. In later years, Ackles attended Dartmouth Elementary School, Apollo Junior High School as well as Lloyd V. Berkner High School in Texas.
In 1995, Ackles was signed by an agent in Dallas, Texas. He made his television debut soon after with the PBS children's series entitled, "Wishbone". Ackles then moved to Los Angeles, California to focus on his acting career. He next appeared on shows such as, "Mr. Rhodes" (1996), "7th Heaven" (1996-1997), "Sweet Valley High" (1996) and "Cybill" (1997). In 1997, Ackles won the role of, "Eric Brady" on the soap opera, "Days of Our Lives". Ackles stayed with the series until 2000 and his performances earned him three Emmy nominations as well as a Soap Opera Digest Award for "Outstanding Male Newcomer".
In 2001, Ackles starred in the television movie entitled, "Blonde" based on the late actress, Marilyn Monroe. More work in television followed including, "Dark Angel" (2001-2002), "Dawson's Creek" (2002-2003), "Still Life" (2003-2004) and "Smallville" (2004-2005). In 2004, Ackles starred in the comedy short, "The Plight of Clownana" which he also helped produce. The following year, he starred in the horror film, "Devour" with Dominique Swain. That same year, Ackles won the role of "Dean Winchester" on the television series, "Supernatural". His performances have earned him a Teen Choice Award nomination for "TV - Choice Breakout Star".
Jared Padalecki
Jared Tristan Padalecki the actor who plays, "Sam Winchester" on the television series, "Supernatural" was born on July 19, 1982 in San Antonio, Texas to Gerald L. Padalecki and Sharon L. Kammer. Padalecki's father is a tax accountant while his mother is a teacher. Padalecki has two siblings, a brother Jeff and sister, Megan. In 1994, Padalecki began taking acting lessons. In later years, Padalecki attended James Madison High School where he became a part of the Presidential Scholars Program. Upon graduation, Padalecki moved to Los Angeles, California to focus on his acting career.
In 1999, Padalecki made his film debut in the comedy drama, "A Little Inside". In 2000, Padalecki won the role of, "Dean Forester" on the television series, "Gilmore Girls". He would stay with the series until 2005 which earned him a Teen Choice Award nomination in 2002. His other television work include, "Silent Witness" (2000), "Close to Home" (2001), "ER" (2001), "A Ring of Endless Light" (2002) and "Young MacGyver" (2003).
Padalecki also starred in the films, "Cheaper by the Dozen" (2003), "New York Minute" (2004) and "Flight of the Phoenix" (2004). In 2005, Padalecki starred in the horror film, "House of Wax" which earned him a second Teen Choice Award nomination. That same year, he appeared in the mystery thriller film, "Cry Wolf" where he met future girlfriend Sandra McCoy. He also guest starred on an episode of "Smallville". Padalecki then won the role of, "Sam Winchester" on the television series, "Supernatural".
