Television Shows that Must Go

A Few Shows that Need to Be Cancelled

Chad Fowler
Here we go, a controversial topic that really doesn't mean anything in our lives but can bring up some heated conversations. There is an abundance of crap on television these days and a lot of the shows have been on forever. I know some people (including myself) live and die by some of these shows but I think we can all agree that some have just gotten ridiculous. How many people can one doctor sleep with? How can hundreds of people continue to live and prosper on a deserted island that once had giant polar bears? Some things are better left where they were most successful. For the great sake of entertainment and not offending anyone here is my list of shows that must go.

Lost

Are you kidding me, could this, would this might possibly happen in a million years? NO, now I know as well as you do that that's not the point, but don't you think it's got to stop at some point? I watched it regularly when it first started and I really enjoyed it, it was exciting, it had drama, it had a good story. Then, season two started and wow did it take a dive. I will admit I actually started watching again in season three for a while and that's when I put my foot down and said "no more"! Let's get real people Lost was lost a long time ago and they really need to end it.

Grey's Anatomy

I know, this is the one that will get me in trouble but haven't you noticed the plots and story lines just go down the crapper as the seasons go on. I think it is absolutely a laugh when every week the big voice comes on television and says "you have never seen a Grey's like this before", I beg to differ, only last time she slept with him and she slept with her. I actually still try and watch with my wife once in a while and can't even make it through a whole episode anymore. As I write this I can't help but think about Seinfeld and what a funny show it was. Yes it was stupid but at least it was creative and had a new story every week. Grey's Anatomy was a great show and I was actually sad to see it turn out this way but it did and it's time to end it. By the way, my wife will not be reading this article because she would kill me.

Extreme Home Makeover

Yes, it's fun to see people get new stuff and be excited about it but this has really got to end, it's a wasted time slot on Sunday nights. I don't know anyone who watches this show anymore. It Ty and Sears want to be the heroes to a needing family every week do it on your own time. And I mean that seriously, it is a great program and I think it should be kept going, just not on a national television level. Remember when they would come in and actually remodel the existing house? That was fun to watch. This one is a little hard to put on my list because it is such a great thing but really, end it.

The Bachelor/Bachelorette

This is one of those shows that you start watching every season after the last one you said "I'm never watching that again", that's me. I watch it every time and I hate it every time. Why do I watch it you ask, I have no idea. Please end it so I can stop watching it.

Like I said, I don't want to make anyone mad I just think that some things should stop while there ahead, in some cases that was years ago. There are many other stupid shows on right now but none have been on real long so I didn't feel comfortable saying they should end. I want but I won't. I love the old time sitcoms like Cheers, Seinfeld, Mash (longest running by the way), Mork and Mindy. Yeah, some of you are saying not only should those have been ended, they should have never started. To each his/her own. Contact me and let me know what you think, you can call me an idiot or you can praise me, I would like to hear it.
